Week 13 DFS Plays
5 min read
We are back once again with more PrizePicks player props in week 13. We have some massive
matchups with some great pieces we want this week. We went 3 for 6 last week as Tom Brady
was the Tom Brady of old and Sam Darnold continued to be Sam Darnold of old. We are going
to be better this week and continue to bring in profits. Lets go again:
Season to date: 34/63 53.9%
Joe Burrow vs Chiefs OVER 20 fantasy points:
I was torn between a Tee Higgins yardage prop or his quarterback Joe Burrow this week but we
are going with the passer. Burrow’s and Mahomes’ yardage props are both set right around 300
yards this week (295.5 for Burrow and 306.5 for Mahomes) meaning this game is projected to
be high flying and high scoring. It has the highest over/under at 52.5. He is getting one of the
best young receivers in Jamaar Chase back this week as he practiced in full Friday and is
expected to play after missing the last few weeks. And on the other side Tee Higgins has been
on fire and is on pace to set new career highs in every receiving stat. The last two times these
teams met, Joe Burrow has lit up the scoreboard, throwing for a combined 696 yards and 6
touchdowns on a healthy 77 passing attempts. We can expect more of the same this week as
we all know teams have no choice but to pass to keep pace with the electric Chiefs offense.
Kansas City has allowed multiple touchdown passes in all but two games this season, and
those two games were against Malik Willis and Bryce Perkins. The Chiefs defense is 24th
against fantasy quarterbacks and allow touchdowns at the second-highest rate in the league.
Magic happens when these two quarterbacks meet and Burrow is set up to deliver a massive
performance this week.
Brandon Aiyuk vs Dolphins OVER 4 receptions:
Brandon Aiyuk has quietly come alive over the last six games for the 49ers and is leading this
offense in receiving yards on the season. After seeing more than 4 receptions only once in the
first five weeks, he has topped that number in five out of the last six games. Over that same
span he is averaging eight targets a game and almost six receptions. It is safe to say he is a
long way from the dog house he was in for most of last season. Star wideout Deebo Samuel is
dealing with a quad injury that has not healed as quickly as the 49ers expected it to, according
to head coach Kyle Shanahan. It sounds like he is more on the pessimistic side of questionable
for this week which only opens the door for Aiyuk to see more targets. The Dolphins are an
attackable matchup, allowing the 11th most receiving yards this season. These are two teams
that have been among the highest scoring offenses as of late and the over/under is the fourth
highest on the week at 46.5. This is a favorable matchup where I expect to see plenty of
passing from both teams. I like the over on Aiyuk regardless if Deebo plays or not.
Deshaun Watson vs Texans UNDER 247.5 passing yards:
The last time Deshaun Watson played in an NFL game was January 3 of 2021. We are coming
up on almost two full years since he has last played meaningful football. Call me crazy, but it is
hard for me to imagine a player coming back to play one of the hardest positions in modern
sports and crushing it after such a long hiatus. The Texans have actually been sneaky good
against quarterbacks this year, mainly because they are downright awful at defending the run.
On average, they are allowing only 230 passing yards per game. Looking at fantasy, they have
allowed only one quarterback to score over 20 fantasy points all season. Teams simply do not
have to throw to beat the Texans when they are so beatable on the ground. Nick Chubb,
anyone? As talented as Watson may be, at the end of the day the goal is to win the game. I do
not think they will ask Watson to carry the load. On top of that, I have a feeling the Texans
defense and fans will be ready to make the environment as hostile as possible for Deshaun
Watson after he left on such a sour note. This could be a statement game waiting to happen.
Taking the under on a game like this feels like a very safe bet.
Brian Robinson vs Giants OVER 10.5 fantasy score:
With the way Robinson has been utilized, it was only a matter of time before the big game
happened. Last week against Atlanta, he handled 20 touches for 125 yards and a score. Since
week 10 he has averaged 19.7 attempts and 82.7 yards. He has a very safe floor and now his
teammate Antonio Gibson is dealing with a foot injury. He missed practice all week and was
only able to get in a limited session on Friday and is questionable to suit up Sunday. This could
open the door for Robinson to see a slight uptick in some passing down work, even if Gibson is
active. Even if he brings in one or two passes, that can massively affect his ceiling as shown
last week. The Commanders are favored in this game, and the Giants have a soft defense
against running backs. They have allowed 150-plus rushing yards each of the last two weeks,
and they have six straight games of giving up over 100 total yards or a touchdown to opposing
running backs. Robinson has easily hit this threshold two of the last three weeks and I like him
again this week. We are going to do as the coaches do and “ride the hot hand.”
Deandre Swift vs Jaguars OVER 20.5 receiving yards:
Deandre Swift has been a massive disappointment this season but maybe we are finally seeing
him come alive. This is the first week he has been fully cleared from the injury report since week
one. We have seen his snap counts rise in three consecutive weeks. He saw eight targets last
week to Jamaal Williams zero. I am calling for a much larger share of snaps this week for Swift
as he is passing the eye test and is due. The Jaguars defense allows the fourth most receptions to running backs in the NFL. And with one of the higher over/unders for the weeks at 51, this
game has shoot out potential. In fact, Lions home games have averaged 62 total points on the
season. This is a call your shot play, but I can see Swift surprising some people with his usage
this week and I will bet on the talent of one of the top receiving backs in the league.
