Chase Edmonds to Miami Dolphins: 2 Year $12.6 Million Deal

Edmonds going to Miami is an exciting signing. Head Coach Mike McDaniel has seen Edmonds play from his time playing against the Cardinals. In 2021, Edmonds had a solid RB2 in fantasy before getting injured. He is in year five in the NFL and has yet to carry a full load. His most carries were in 2021, with 116 carries on the season. Edmonds has been best utilized as a pass-catcher with 99 receptions over the last two seasons. Edmonds fits the McDaniel offense scheme well, but I can’t see him getting the full workload. He likely will be a change of pace running back who saw the passing down work in the offense. Edmonds signing opens the window to sell high before the NFL draft if Miami does go early on running back. Edmonds moving forward as a low-end RB 2 in PPR leagues.

James Connor resigns with the Cardinals: 3 Year $21 Million deal

Fantasy owners must be loving owning James Connor after the last two seasons. After being left for dead after the 2020 season, Connor dominated the 2021 season. He is heading back to Arizona as the full-time starter. When Edmonds went down with injuries, Connor went on a stretch as the RB4 in fantasy. Connor is continuing to be part of a high-power offense that when they get into the red-zone, they will call upon Connor’s services. Connor does have an injury history, so there is a slight concern he can hold up as the workhorse for 17 games. If he can stay healthy, he should be continued as a high-end RB 2 in fantasy. In dynasty, Connor should be considered a

Mitchell Trubisky signs with Pittsburgh: 2 Year

While it’s not that surprising of a spot for Trubisky to land, Trubisky gets put back on fantasy radars with the possibility to start again. He will compete with Mason Rudolph or likely a rookie for the job. Trubisky brings in a slight upgrade over Rudolph as a rusher. He had over 1000 yards in four seasons with Chicago when used in that fashion. He is attached to four talented, skilled players who could set him up well for a rebound career. I think Trubisky has the talent but was mismanaged in Chicago. Trubisky has sleeper potential if he can win the starting job. sell high in fantasy and could now possibly get a late 1st round pick to fantasy owners.
